What I grow

Ten Speed Farm offers a wide selection of vegetables and herbs throughout the growing season. Check the chart to see when your favorite veggies are available.

I use floating row cover (remay) to warm the soil and keep cold nights from harming early and late crops. I also have one hoop house, which is essentially a passive solar greenhouse. I start some later crops (swiss chard, kale, etc.) inside the hoop house, but its main purpose is to provide the hot environment in which tomatoes and basil can thrive. In the fall, my hoop house will also be home to late crops of salad mix, pac choi, spinach, and other greens.
